‘한반도 전쟁종식과 평화를 위한 기도’
자비로우신 하나님, 우리는 세계 도처에서 국가와 문화의 지리적 경계보다 더 큰 위협에 직면해 있습니다. 우리가 다양성 속에서 찬란한, 공동의 가족의 일원임을 인식하도록 도와주시옵소서. 전지구적으로 건강과 안전, 그리고 정의가 도전 받고 있는 이 때, 한반도에서 반 세기 이상 이어 온 불신과 분노를 극복하고 평화협정을 실현하기 위하여 우리의 힘과 재능을 모으게 하옵소서.
오 하나님, 생명을 주시고 해방을 선포하시는 당신의 사랑으로 한반도와 세계인의 마음을 감동시켜주시어 분열의 장벽이 무너지고, 의혹과 증오가 사라지며, 공동체의 분열이 치유되고, 모두가 정의와 평화 속에서 살 수 있게 하시옵소서. 세계 각국을 정의와 진리의 길로 인도하여 한국전쟁의 종식을 도모하게 하시옵소서.
하나님, 당신의 아들인 주님께서 원수를 사랑하라고 명령하셨습니다. 편견에서 진실로 우리를 인도하여 주시고, 특히 노근리 학살을 포함하여 전쟁의 잔혹행위로 희생된 사람들을 기억하되 증오와 복수로부터 우리를 구원하여 주시옵소서. 우리 모두가 주님 앞에서 화해할 수 있게 해주십시오. 우리 과거의 가장 어두운 곳에 당신의 빛을 비춰주시고, 그 황무지로부터 나아갈 길을 밝혀 주시옵소서.
영원하신 하나님, 당신의 나라에는 사랑보다 더 큰 힘이 없습니다. 모든 민족들이 하나님의 자녀로 함께 모일 수 있도록 하나님의 영을 우리에게 보내 주시옵소서. 우리가 우리의 인간성을 새롭고 정의롭고 당신의 사랑을 가치 있게 반영하는 것으로 엮어나가려고 할 때 우리를 인도하시고 영감과 힘을 더하여 주소서. 예수님의 사랑의 길을 따라 미지의 세계로 발을 디딜 용기를 주시옵소서. 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도합니다.

‘Prayers for Peace to end the War on the Korean Peninsula’
Gracious God, throughout the world we face threats larger than earthly boundaries of nation and culture. Help us recognize that we are members of a common family, glorious in diversity. Help us overcome years of distrust and anger on the Korean Peninsula, to channel our unique strengths and talents to work toward a peace treaty as we face the global health, safety, and justice challenges of our time.
Grant, O God, that your life-giving, liberating way of love may move the hearts of the people of Korea and the world so that barriers which divide may crumble, suspicions disappear, hatreds cease, and that divisions in the human family being healed, all may live in justice and peace. Guide the nations of the world into ways of justice and truth, to seek an end to the Korean War.
God, Father of all, your Son commanded us to love our enemies. Lead us away from prejudice to truth; deliver us from hatred and revenge, especially in memory of those who perished at the Nogunri massacre and other war time atrocities; enable us to stand reconciled before you. Shine your light into the darkest corners of our past, and illuminate the path that leads from that wilderness
Eternal God, in whose kingdom there is no strength greater than the strength of your love. Send us your Spirit so that all peoples may be gathered together as children of God. Guide, inspire, and empower us as we seek to weave the strands of our common humanity into something that is new, just, and a worthy reflection of your love. Give us the courage to step into the unknown, following in the way of Jesus’ love. In Christ’s name we pray. AMEN+

한국기독교교회협의회(NCCK)는 지난 68회 정기총회에서 “평화를 이루기까지 있는 힘을 다할 것”(시 34:14)을 다짐하고, 한국전쟁 발발 70년을 맞는 올해 2020년을 한반도에서 전쟁을 종식하고 평화협정을 실현하는 “희년의 해”로 선포하였습니다.
이 희년운동의 일환으로 세계교회협의회 (WCC)와 함께 3월 1일부터 8월 15일까지 “한반도평화를 위한 세계기도운동”을 전개하오니, 이번 주부터 매주 보내드리는 기도문 (혹은 신앙간증문)을 가지고 교회와 가정, 직장과 각 자의 삶의 자리에서 이 기도운동에 적극 참여하여 주시기 바랍니다.
