한반도 평화를 위한 기도 37

사랑과 긍휼과 정의의 하나님, 주님은 모든 세대에 걸쳐 우리의 거할 곳이 되어 주셨습니다. 오늘 우리는 이 한반도에서 우리의 설움과 눈물, 슬픔을 주님 앞에 내어 놓습니다. 주님께서 우리를 돌보시고 우리와 함께 우시는 인자가 크신 사랑의 하나님이시기 때문입니다.
COVID-19 대유행으로 인해 우리는 안전감과 기쁨, 그리고 희망을 잃었습니다. 그 유행병은 몸과 마음과 영혼에 치명적인 바이러스를 퍼뜨리고 있습니다. 오, 주님, 우리의 상처받은 몸과 마음을 위로하시고 치유하시는 당신의 풍성한 은혜와 변함없는 임재의 확실함을 우리로 깨닫게 하소서. 우리에게 지혜를 주시기 원합니다. 특히 정치 지도자들에게 이 새로운 세상과 새로운 삶의 표준을 어떻게 마주할 것인가에 대한 지혜를 주시옵소서.
주님! 한반도의 평화를 얼마나 기다려야 하는지요? 이번 6월 25일은 6.25전쟁 발발 70주년입니다. 70년 동안 여전히 해결되지 않은 트라우마와 남한과 북한의 분단은 지금도 우리 안에 남아 있습니다. 어떤 사람은 잊었겠지만, 해결되지 않은 전쟁이 잊혀져서는 안 될 것입니다. 그 고통과 트라우마는 전 세계 한국인과 디아스포라에게 계속되고 있습니다. 우리는 이 비극적인 전쟁을 잊지 않도록, 그래서 한반도의 화해와 평화를 위해 용기 있게 협력할 수 있도록 함께 기도합니다. 지난주 미국과 남한에 대한 불만을 드러내기 위해 북한이 개성 연락사무소를 폭파했습니다. 우리는 경각심을 가지고 주님께서 한반도에 평화를 허락해주시기를 기도합니다. 오 주님, 우리로 정전과 평화협정을 볼 때까지 이 평화를 위한 일을 해나갈 수 있도록 당신의 힘과 지혜를 부어 주소서.
오늘날 우리는 세계에서, 특별히 미국에서 심각한 인종차별 문제를 보고 있습니다. 오, 주님! 인종차별을 없애겠다는 우리의 헌신이 새로워지도록 우리에게 당신의 힘을 불어 넣어 주소서. 주님 우리를 당신의 예언자적 사역으로 이끄셔서 우리의 일들이 이 세대와 오는 세대를 위해 당신의 사랑과 자비, 정의로 이뤄지게 하소서.
임마누엘의 하나님, 우리는 마틴 루터 킹 목사의 말씀으로 겸손히 기도합니다. "어둠은 어둠을 몰아낼 수 없고 빛만이 그렇게 할 수 있습니다. 증오는 증오를 몰아낼 수 없고, 오직 사랑만이 그렇게 할 수 있습니다." 우리의 희망은 우리가 기도하는 그리스도 예수 안에 있습니다. 아멘

God of love, of mercy, and of justice, you have been our dwelling place in all generations and today we present before you our sadness, our tears, and our sorrows in Korean peninsula because you are a compassionate and loving God who cares and cries with us.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have lost our sense of security, our joy, and our hope. The pandemics spread deadly viruses of the body, of the mind, and of the soul, O Lord, remind us of your abundant grace and the assurance of your ever-abiding presence comforting and healing our broken hearts and bodies. Give your wisdom to us, especially to politicians in the world how to face this new normal and new world.
O Lord! How long we have to wait for the peace on Korean peninsula. Next week June, 25 is the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War. The seven decades of unresolved trauma and division of the Korean people is still in us now. Some people forgot it, but the unresolved war should not be forgotten. Its pain and trauma are continuing to Korean people and diaspora across the world. We jointly pray to you for this tragic war not to forget so that we can courageously work together for the reconciliation and peace on Korean peninsula. We vigilantly ask you to have peace on Korean peninsula as last week the Liaison Office in Kaesung was blown up by the North Korea to show up their dissatisfaction with South Korea and the U.S. O Lord give us your strength and wisdom to do this peace work until we see the Armistice and Peace treaty.
Today we see the serious racism issue in the world, especially in the U.S. O Lord infuse us with your power that our commitment to eliminate racism be renewed. Lead us into your prophetic work so that our works can be achieved with your love, your mercy, and your justice for this generation and the generations to come. Emmanuel God, we humbly ask in the words of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. that “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” For our hope is in Christ Jesus in whose name we pray. Amen.

한국기독교교회협의회(NCCK)는 지난 68회 정기총회에서 “평화를 이루기까지 있는 힘을 다할 것”(시 34:14)을 다짐하고, 한국전쟁 발발 70년을 맞는 올해 2020년을 한반도에서 전쟁을 종식하고 평화협정을 실현하는 “희년의 해”로 선포하였습니다.
이 희년운동의 일환으로 세계교회협의회 (WCC)와 함께 3월 1일부터 8월 15일까지 “한반도평화를 위한 세계기도운동”을 전개하오니, 이번 주부터 매주 보내드리는 기도문 (혹은 신앙간증문)을 가지고 교회와 가정, 직장과 각 자의 삶의 자리에서 이 기도운동에 적극 참여하여 주시기 바랍니다.
