한반도 평화를 위한 기도 45

모든 시대의 하나님,
당신은 우리가 이 땅에 처음 발을 디딘 때부터
당신의 백성들과 함께 거니셨습니다.
당신은 우리가 억압당했을 때 우리의 부르짖음을 들으셨고,
의심과 절망에 빠졌을 때 우리에게 힘과 용기를 주셨습니다.
인간의 공포와 탐욕, 권력욕으로
이 땅은 나누어지고 파괴되었습니다.
우리는 오직 당신 안에서 번성하고 자랄 수 있음을 알기에
우리, 당신의 백성들은 당신께로 돌아갑니다.
분열이 불신을 일으키는 곳에
이해의 다리를 놓아 주시옵소서.
탐욕이 인생을 더럽히고 위협하는 곳에서
우리가 마음을 열어 나누고 협력하게 하시옵소서.
현재의 하나님,
당신의 사랑은 경계에서 멈추지 않습니다.
듣고 믿고자 하는 사람들에게
당신의 은혜는 값없이 주어집니다.
한반도의 사람들은 너무나 오랫동안
나누어져 앞날을 두려워하며 살았습니다.
그들의 외침을 당신께서 듣고 계심을 믿고
용기를 갖게 하시옵소서.
서로 위협하고 멀어지기 위해
핵무기가 사용되는 이곳에,
칼을 보습으로 바꾸시어
북과 남이 함께 살고 번성하게 하시옵소서.
모든 존재의 하나님,
전쟁의 종식과
새 시대의 여명을 위해
전 세계 사람들과 함께 기도합니다.
이 땅을 파괴하는 모든 위협이
영원히 사라지게 해 주시옵소서.
핵 위협에 반대하는 사람들의 목소리가
확신과 힘을 지니고 커지게 하시옵소서.
우리는 분열이 극복되고 적개심이 사라질 때까지
전 세계 동역자들과 함께 일할 것입니다.
우리는 모든 창조 질서가 조화 속에 사는 미래를 향해
우리의 하나님, 당신과 함께 걸어 나갈 것입니다.
모든 시대의 하나님, 현재의 하나님, 모든 존재의 하나님,
홀로 우리는 넘어질 수 있으나 함께 당신의 나라가 임하기를 기도합니다.

God of the ages.
You have walked with your people
from the moment that first we walked on the earth.
You heard our cry when we were oppressed,
gave us strength and courage when doubt and despair threatened.
The earth has been divided and brought to destruction
by human fear, greed and the lust for power.
We, your people, turn to you
knowing that only in you can we flourish and grow.
Where division has given rise to distrust,
build bridges of understanding.
Where greed pollutes and threatens life,
open hearts to share and build in partnership.
God of the present moment,
your love does not stop at borders.
Your grace is given freely to those who
are willing to hear and to trust.
The people of Korea have lived too long
divided and fearful for the future.
Grant them the courage to believe
that their cry has been heard.
Where nuclear weapons have been used
to threaten and keep apart,
turn swords into ploughshares
that people North and South may be fed and prosper.
God of all that is to be,
with people across the world
we pray for the end of war
and the dawn of a new age.
Let all that threatens the earth with destruction
be banished for ever.
Let the voice of those opposed to nuclear threat
grow in confidence and strength.
We will work together with partners across the world
until division is overcome and hostility ended.
We will walk together with you, our God,
into a future where the whole created order lives in harmony.
God of the ages, God of the present, God of all that is to be,
alone we may stumble but together we pray your kingdom come.

한국기독교교회협의회(NCCK)는 지난 68회 정기총회에서 “평화를 이루기까지 있는 힘을 다할 것”(시 34:14)을 다짐하고, 한국전쟁 발발 70년을 맞는 올해 2020년을 한반도에서 전쟁을 종식하고 평화협정을 실현하는 “희년의 해”로 선포하였습니다.
이 희년운동의 일환으로 세계교회협의회 (WCC)와 함께 3월 1일부터 8월 15일까지 “한반도평화를 위한 세계기도운동”을 전개하오니, 이번 주부터 매주 보내드리는 기도문 (혹은 신앙간증문)을 가지고 교회와 가정, 직장과 각 자의 삶의 자리에서 이 기도운동에 적극 참여하여 주시기 바랍니다.
